6th Artifact

I finally finished UV mapping and texturing my final artifact, I'm pleased with most of it but there are a few things I'm not pleased with. Final polygon count was just under 7000 polygons, 7000 being the limit i set. This was based on the model for Lara Croft in a more recent release of the series. I will update soon with details on the questionnaire, and I have to write up the evaluations also.

5th Artifact

Ive finally finished my 5th, after learning a few lessons in the art of UV from Andy I'm pretty comfortable using 3ds Max after moving from Maya. I'm pretty happy with the result, after a bit of research and decision making I found out that apparently the model for Master Chief from the first Halo game was 2000 polygons, so I decided to aim for this. I made this model differently from the others as in that I had to model already, my sixth artifact (or it will be when I have UV'ed it) and I took out enough polygons to meet the 2000 limit and still keep a recognisable shape. I also Rigged and posed it, which I want to do more of, I'm getting that hang of that slowly... next step animating.
